Rules and construction points one by one
Pickleball Court Pickleball
Small venue, high turnover, suitable for high-profile projects in communities and commercial halls.
- Singles and doubles use the same court, which is similar in size to the doubles badminton court.
- 7 ft on each side of the net is the non-volley area, commonly known as the kitchen area, and volleys cannot be made in the area.
- It is recommended that the newly built venue should leave enough end lines and sideline buffers, and the commercial hall should try to avoid sharing too narrow passages between the two venues.
Basketball full court Basketball
The most common hard sports field in schools, communities and sports parks.
- The FIBA court is 28 m × 15 m; the NBA is 94 ft × 50 ft, with slightly different lines.
- The school compliance project focuses on GB 36246-2018 testing, bulging resistance, drainage and color fastness.
- For large outdoor venues, it is recommended to give priority to thermal expansion and contraction structures and seams, not just the unit price.
Basketball Half Court
Suitable for communities, school corners, rooftops and commercial complexes.
- Half-court is not just about cutting the entire court in half. The free throw line, restricted area, three-point arc and safe distance from the basket must be retained.
- Training grounds, children’s grounds and commercial experience grounds can be compressed according to space, but it must be made clear that they are not official competition grounds.
- The ground color can be divided into areas inside and outside the three-point line to improve the recognition of shooting training.
FIBA 3x3 Halftime
Popular specifications for street basketball, school events and commercial activities.
- 3x3 uses a basket, the three-point line becomes a 2-point line in the rules, and 1 point is scored inside the arc.
- Every time the ball is transferred, the ball must be arced, the pace is fast, and it requires high ground grip and buffering.
- Official events need to comply with FIBA 3x3 equipment and venue requirements.
Tennis Court Tennis
High requirements for line position, rebound and court buffering.
- Tennis courts under ITF rules are 78 ft long; separate sidelines are used for singles and doubles.
- The service area, running space outside the baseline and lateral cushioning have a great impact on the experience.
- Professional matches typically use acrylic, clay, grass or approved tennis surfaces.
Badminton Court Badminton
Small size, but high requirements for headroom, lighting and foot feel.
- Badminton line width is usually 40 mm, and the singles sideline is narrower than the doubles sideline.
- High and long shots in the backcourt require sufficient clearance, and the experience of low-ceiling venues will be significantly reduced.
- Multi-functional venues often share the same venue with basketball and volleyball, and different colors need to be used to distinguish the lines.
Volleyball court Volleyball
Common in schools and communities, with many jumps and requirements for shock absorption.
- The volleyball court is divided into two 9×9 m halves by the center line, and the front row offensive line is 3 m away from the center line.
- Official competitions require free zones and overhead clearance, and school training can be adjusted according to conditions.
- Avoid excessively hard ground. Frequent takeoffs and landings will amplify the impact on the knees and ankles.
Futsal
Common both indoors and outdoors, boundaries and penalty areas are different from 11-a-side.
- The five-a-side system has no offside, flexible substitutions, fast ball speed, and high requirements for ground friction and wear resistance.
- Sideline balls are usually kicked in with the feet, and safe passages should be left around the field.
- Commercial entertainment and school training can be compressed according to space, and official competitions are confirmed according to FIFA/Futsal rules.
Football field Football
Large venue projects, with a wide range of sizes, the lawn system is the core.
- Football has penalty areas, penalty spots, center circles, corner kick areas and offside rules. Line marking and lawn maintenance are equally important.
- Schools can use 5/7/8-a-side narrow pitches, but the rules and goal specifications should be clearly stated.
- Natural grass and artificial grass fields also need to consider drainage, foundation, filling and maintenance.
Rugby Stadium
There are high requirements for field length, end zone and safety buffer.
- Rugby allows collisions, downs and scrimmages, and the safety of the surface takes precedence over the beauty of the lines.
- The touch line, goal line, 22 m line, half-field line and end zone must be clear.
- International or official competitions are subject to World Rugby requirements for size and finish.
Cricket Ground Cricket
The center pitching zone is highly accurate and the outfield boundaries change with the field.
- The centerpiece of cricket is the 22-yard pitch, with wickets and batting area markers at either end.
- The official outfield is usually grass, and the boundary distance varies with the level of competition and venue conditions.
- School or commercial training can be used as a pitching net and practice area instead of a complete outfield.
Gateball
Low intensity activities, community parks and community activity programs are common.
- Goalball has a slower pace, but has high requirements for flatness, low glare and anti-slip.
- Marking lines and door positions should be clear, and height differences and hard edges should be avoided in low-intensity activity areas.
- Community activity scenes should give priority to anti-slip, buffering and barrier-free access.
Huamengxing Mini Basketball/Children’s Basketball
In children’s enlightenment centers for young children, the rules should be narrowed down according to age.
- It is not recommended to copy adult courts for children’s basketball. The court, basket height, ball number, and game length must all be reduced.
- Color blocks can be used to guide the stance, dribbling routes and shooting areas in the enlightenment field.
- Kindergartens or training institutions should focus on environmental protection, anti-slip, impact absorption and corner safety.
